A father was putting his 3-year-old daughter to bed one night. She wanted to say her usual prayer, so he listened as she softly prayed:
“God bless Mommy, God bless Daddy, God bless Grandma, goodbye Grandpa.”
Curious, he asked, “Why did you say goodbye to Grandpa?”
The little girl shrugged. “I don’t know… it just felt right.”
The next morning, the family received the shocking news that her grandfather had indeed passed away. At first, the father dismissed it as a strange coincidence.
A few months later, bedtime came again, and his daughter prayed:
“God bless Mommy, God bless Daddy, goodbye Grandma.”
The following day, her grandmother passed away. The father could no longer ignore the eerie pattern—his daughter seemed to sense family deaths before they happened.
Weeks later, during bedtime prayer, she said:
“God bless Mommy, and goodbye Daddy.”
The father was paralyzed with fear. He stayed up all night, dreading sunrise, then spent the entire day at work, too terrified to return home. Midnight came and went—nothing happened. Relieved, he finally went home.
His wife looked at him and asked why he was so late. “I had the worst day of my life,” he said.
She shook her head. “If you think your day was bad, you won’t believe what happened to me… my boss died in the middle of a meeting!”
