Caleb wanted to confront his father immediately.

Nora’s pregnancy had been pulled into that system.
Elise was supposed to be placed with another family, but Dr. Alden Grey stopped the transfer and moved her to a private research residence in Lake County.
Caleb was horrified.
Malcolm insisted he had been secretly searching for Elise, but Caleb finally understood the truth.

Caleb made Nora a promise.
