But sometimes the strongest response isn\u2019t confrontation. It\u2019s proving that you can build something beautiful without needing anyone\u2019s approval.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s Kate\u2019s story:<\/p>\n

Hi Now I\u2019ve Seen Everything!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Three years ago, my parents spent $60,000 on my sister\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n

So when I got engaged last year, I naturally expected they would offer similar support. Instead, they handed me a $2,000 check.<\/p>\n
