He had suddenly added a new brass lock to his home office while I was working a double shift. I immediately photographed every page, returned everything exactly as I found it, and contacted a determined attorney named Karen.<\/p>\n

Over the next several days, Marcus confirmed that David was preparing to take things even further. He planned to create a public incident at a restaurant near the lake that weekend to make it appear as though I was unstable.<\/p>\n

On Saturday night, I allowed David to take me to dinner.<\/p>\n
