Part 2: I Decided Not to Be at My Son\u2019s Wedding\u2014Instead, I Spent That Day With the Woman He Once Married<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wedding I Couldn\u2019t Attend<\/h2>\n

When my son was twenty-five, he married Tina, a kind and gentle woman who quickly became someone our entire family loved. She was twenty-three at the time, and the two of them appeared truly happy. They had plans, hopes, and dreams of building a life together.<\/p>\n

Not long after their wedding, they welcomed a beautiful baby boy. I remember feeling so much joy watching them become parents. When I first held my grandson, I believed they had everything needed to create a happy and loving family.<\/p>\n

But as time passed, things slowly started to change.<\/p>\n

The affection they once showed each other began to disappear. Small signs of distance and tension appeared, though they were easy to ignore if you wanted to believe everything was still fine.<\/p>\n

The Truth Tina Confided in Me<\/h2>\n

Eventually, Tina started sharing pieces of what was really happening in their marriage.<\/p>\n

With a heavy heart, she told me that my son had been unfaithful repeatedly.<\/p>\n

At first, I didn\u2019t want to accept it. I convinced myself there had to be another explanation. Maybe there was something I didn\u2019t understand. Maybe the situation wasn\u2019t as serious as it seemed.<\/p>\n

But I was wrong.<\/p>\n

She showed me proof, and there was no way to deny what had happened.<\/p>\n

Seeing the pain she had carried broke my heart. It was difficult to accept that my own son had been responsible for hurting someone who had loved him and cared for their family.<\/p>\n

I confronted him right away.<\/p>\n

Nothing he said could excuse his choices.<\/p>\n

I also apologized to Tina sincerely. I knew I wasn\u2019t responsible for my son\u2019s behavior, but I wanted her to know that someone saw her pain and understood what she had gone through.<\/p>\n

I told her,<\/p>\n

“If you ever decide you can’t stay, I will support you. You deserve love, honesty, and respect.”<\/em><\/p>\n

But despite everything, Tina chose to remain with him.<\/p>\n

She decided to give him another opportunity, hoping their relationship could heal. I believe she still loved him deeply and wanted their family to stay together, especially because of their young son.<\/p>\n

Even so, I couldn\u2019t help worrying about her.<\/p>\n
