I was forced to sell part of my retirement savings, refinance our home, and hire help just to keep everything together while raising Lily.<\/p>\n

Every night, I watched my daughter kiss her mother\u2019s picture before going to sleep.<\/p>\n

Later, on a private terrace above the caf\u00e9, Sarah told me the truth.<\/p>\n

She had woken up in a hospital after the accident with no memory of who she was. She didn\u2019t know her own name, her husband, or that she had a child.<\/p>\n

Hospital staff found Marcus through company records and contacted him to identify her.<\/p>\n

Over time, pieces of her memory returned. But fear, recovery, and guilt kept her from coming home. She admitted she had watched videos of Lily\u2019s birthdays online and promised herself again and again that she would return.<\/p>\n
