The couple, who had been together for five years, were engaged and planning to marry in May 2025. Shortly after their engagement, the woman\u2019s grandmother passed away and left her a substantial inheritance from a lifetime of financial success.<\/p>\n

She told her fianc\u00e9 about the inheritance, and he appeared excited at first. However, she later overheard him telling his friends he planned to use the money to pay off his credit card debt and fund a long-discussed \u201cboys\u2019 trip,\u201d assuming he would have access to it.<\/p>\n

When she confronted him, he casually referred to the money as belonging to her grandmother and seemed to assume he could use it. She firmly told him the inheritance was hers alone and not available for his personal expenses.<\/p>\n
