I allowed my 15-year-old daughter to spend the weekend with her grandmother, thinking it would be a nice visit. But when she came back, she kept her hood pulled low, shut herself in her room, and cried for three days. When I finally went in, what I saw left me stunned.<\/p>\n
She had been excited to go, talking about baking and looking through old photos. After my divorce, I\u2019d tried to keep things peaceful between families, and her grandmother had always seemed to care for her in her own way. So I didn\u2019t hesitate to let her go.<\/p>\n
